Bruce Lee's Thoughts on Perception

Not conviction, not method, but perception is the way of truth. It is a state of effortless awareness, pliable awareness, choiceless awareness.

Require not just a moment of perception, but a continuous awareness, a continuous state of inquiry in which there is no conclusion.

The perceiving mind understands truth.

Perception implies existence to be perceived.

The relation of sense data to the object being perceived.

Sense data is caused by physical objects. In order to find out about the actual objects in front of us, reason and rational thinking are necessary.

The enemy of development is this pain phobia - the unwillingness to do a tiny bit of suffering.
